Inside the Box

Kohmann Bosshard Financial Services was established in 2006 by Otto Bosshard to provide exceptional investment management to high-net-worth individuals and organizations. Otto aptly coined his approach “investing inside the box,” and created a strong foundation of structured and disciplined financial strategies.

Dean Kohmann has led the Kohmann Bosshard team since 2015, advancing Otto’s vision. Under Dean’s leadership, Kohmann Bosshard has expanded to offer comprehensive wealth management, financial planning, and estate planning. Today, we proudly serve families, trusts, estates, retirement plans, and charitable organizations with tailored financial solutions.

DEAN KOHMANN | CPA Inactive

President

Dean is the President of Kohmann Bosshard. He has worked in the financial services industry since 1991, including as a CPA at Ernst & Young, LLP; 14 years as a VP of Charles Schwab, and 4 years as SVP of ValMark Financial Group before joining Otto Bosshard and founding Kohmann Bosshard. He earned his Accounting degree from Case Western Reserve University. He has been married to Diana since 1994 and has three wonderful daughters.

OTTO BOSSHARD | CFA®

Former Chairman

Otto was the Chairman of Kohmann Bosshard. He was the former Vice President, Treasurer and Chief Investment Officer of Westfield Insurance Group, a former member of the Board of Directors at Westfield Bank and ValMark Financial Group, and former member of the Investment Committee of Summa Health System. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati before beginning his over 40 years in this industry. He is survived by his wife Claudia Bosshard of 54 years, as well as his two sons and five grandchildren.

STEPHANIE PATTERSON

Director of Client Services

Stephanie is Director of Client Service & Chief Compliance Officer at Kohmann Bosshard. She received her BSBA from The Ohio State University with concentrations in Marketing and Economics. She has worked in the financial services industry since 2005, including roles at Oak Associates and Oelschlager Investments in Akron, Ohio. Earlier in her career, Stephanie worked for Charles Schwab in their Retirement Plan Services Group.

DJ BETTINGER | CFP®

Financial Planner

DJ is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® at Kohmann Bosshard. He graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with degrees in Business Administration and Finance, and he earned an MBA from The University of Texas in 2021. He and his wife Mackenzie have been married since 2015 and have a daughter. They enjoy spending time with family and their dog Moose.

ABIGAIL HAPP | CFP®

Financial Planner

Abigail is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® at Kohmann Bosshard. She attended Grove City College where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and played volleyball. Abigail has been with Kohmann Bosshard since 2020. Abigail married her husband Eddie in Summer, 2023. Together, they enjoy cooking, baking, and spending time outdoors.

CASSIDY KOHMANN HARTZEL | CPA

Financial Planner

Cassidy is a Financial Planner and CPA at Kohmann Bosshard. She went to Grove City College where she graduated with degrees in Accounting and Biblical Studies and played volleyball. Cassidy spent two years working at Ernst & Young, LLC in Assurance before joining Kohmann Bosshard in 2024. She and her husband Alex got married in September 2023. Together, they enjoy trying new restaurants, playing pickleball, and spending time with their friends and family.

GILBERT COTTO | CFP®

Director of Operations

Gil is Director of Operations at Kohmann Bosshard. He started his career in financial services in 1999 after graduating from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida with a degree in Organizational Behavior and a minor in Economics. Gil has spent 25 years in the financial services industry, including roles at Charles Schwab, Pershing, and Stratos Wealth Partners before joining Kohmann Bosshard in March, 2024. He also spent 6 years in the United States Marine Corps. Gil has been married to his wife Jennifer for 23 years and has two sons, Nick and Nate.

ANNA AGRESTI

Financial Analyst

Anna is a Financial Analyst at Kohmann Bosshard. She graduated from Grove City College with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics and a minor in Accounting. Anna is currently pursuing the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, baking, and traveling.

BRIAN PIAZZA

Financial Analyst

Brian is a Financial Analyst at Kohmann Bosshard. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. Brian is currently pursuing the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification. In his free time, he enjoys playing sports, working out, and spending time with friends and family.

EMILY CRANE

Accountant

Emily is an Accountant at Kohmann Bosshard. She graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and earned her MBA from Walsh University. Her career included experience in both corporate and non-profit accounting before joining Kohmann Bosshard in 2022. In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with her husband and children, trying new recipes, and hiking.
